I've been trying to find "The Gay Days of Gaythorne Humphries" online and can't find it anywhere. Do you have a PDF of this book?

ReplyDeleteThe book is actually called "Dinner Takers May Go", so check under that title if you haven't already...
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious, I must have first encountered this book here then because I had written a note to myself calling it "The Gay Days...". I've look under both titles to no avail, I've actually had a standing eBay search going for over two years I think - I remember renewing the search twice.
ReplyDeleteI'm completely fascinated with small self-published auto-biographies. One of my great regrets was not photocopying a Midwestern man's stories of how he slept with prostitutes in the 1950s, it passed through my hands in a Kinko's copies and is now lost forever...
